What is the working principle of the DTH hammer drill bit?

The working principle of the submerged hammer drill is as follows:

When compressed air or other fluids are passed into the submerged hammer, the piston inside the submerged hammer is driven to reciprocate at high frequency.

Under the impact of the piston, the submerged hammer generates a strong impact force, and transmits this impact force to the drill bit.

The drill bit contacts with the rock surface under the impact force and generates huge pressure, thus breaking the rock.

At the same time, the drill bit cuts and grinds the broken rock in the process of rotation, further expanding and deepening the drill hole.

As the impact and cutting continue, the drill bit keeps drilling into the rock to realize the purpose of drilling.

In this process, factors such as the shape and material of the drill bit and its coordination with the submerged hammer have an important impact on the drilling efficiency and quality.
